House Bill 2772 provides licensing. Sports betting for 10 sports franchises and ten tribes. India’s Yavapai Prescott tribe filed a petition with the Maricopa County Superior Court last week to block the implementation of House Bill 2772, which would allow licensees to start collecting bets this week on September 9.

Doug Ducey, Governor of Arizona, and 20 of the 22 tribes recognized by the federal government of Arizona. Previously, it negotiated an updated gaming agreement, which was authorized by the U.S. Department of the Interior in May.
By amending the agreement. Tribes will be allowed to expand the 바카라 and offer additional table games such as baccarat and craps, in addition to the existing ones.
Yavapai Prescott alleged that the law was unconstitutional, and that the expansion and possibility of further bets under the Bill and the amended agreement would unfairly harm the tribes.
According to representatives of the Tonto Apache and Quechan tribes, Rosette, LLP, leader Yavapai Prescott was not involved with the government throughout the legal process.
This tribe “carries out a desperate strategy in the 11th hour, which will punish tribes that play by the rules and unfairly comply with terms and conditions.”
Tonto Apache, Chairman of Calvin Johnson, said: “The truth is that we have spent five years negotiating diligently and honestly with the Governor and the Department of Gaming to protect our interests and ensure that our revised compactness provides the best economic benefits for our people.
“We tried to engage with the Yavapai leadership in developing a strategy that would benefit small tribes who think like us, but they refused, saying they would sue simply if they were not satisfied with the outcome of the negotiations.”
State Senator T.J. Schhope, who supported the legislation, called the law a fair and just law and criticized Yavapai’s efforts to impede progress.
“I expect any legal challenge to be dismissed quickly so that economic opportunities have already emerged as a result of the tightening of the tribal-state game of play can continue,” Shope said.
