After the SiGMA, Affiliate Grand Slam, and AIBC conferences concluded in Dubai, we can only thank the great minds and tireless hands that made this event such a success. During this eventful week, there were many networking dinners and drinks, performances and other opportunities specifically designed for our hard-working attendees. For those who could not come this time, we will tell you about the main points of the event.
Our conferences were attended by industry titans, leading entrepreneurs, and prominent figures from both the gaming industry and affiliates. The conference program was supported by a number of well-known personalities, including Dr. Marwan Alzarouni, Dave Crane, Nick Spanos, Ben Goertzel, David Orban, Saeed Hared Al Dharmaki and many others.
Here’s what some of our speakers had to say:
“We need to make sure that these great ideas are not compromised by people who want to break them. We have to be one step ahead when it comes to safety.” 〞 Simas Simauskas, Head of Payments at Connect Pay.
“Content is the heart and soul of marketing.” 〞 Baha Hamadi, Vice President of Communications at Deep Knowledge Group
SiGMA also highlighted the competitive world of billion-dollar esports during the event in Dubai, both through conferences and the Esports Arena, which also hosted the Esports Technologies-sponsored tournament.
Here are the main discussions that emerged from the discussions at the esports conference:
“Yes, regulation in esports is inevitable. Try to identify the best rules, there is room for creativity, innovation and profitability even in a highly regulated area. Work hand in hand with the authorities and try to create a regulatory network that can meet the general requirements.” – Cl谷ment Martin Saint-L谷on, Vice President for Regulation and Strategy, Groupe Barri豕re
“It’s very difficult to turn a traditional sports player into an esports player. This is a completely different audience.” – Paruyr Shahbazyan, CEO of Azuro.
During these discussions, delegates had the opportunity to learn more about the future of esports, the growing industry in the UAE, and the key trends affecting the sector, which is set to reach $20.7 billion by 2027.
The next generation of players who made their mark on the battlefield competed for a $10,000 prize pool at Esports Arena. Illuminated by lasers and LCD screens, this area featured several high-profile invited players, as well as Geo Nightingale coordinating One Tap Gaming to win in Dubai.
Innovative entrepreneurs, surrounded by top investors and mentors, competed for a grand prize of up to $500,000 in equity investment and a host of other benefits, presenting their ideas on stage.
The best presentation of this year was Fanera. Fanera is the first social network for football fans. Their vision is to bring together 3.5 billion football fans in one place to share their moments and connect with fans from all over the world.
Mohammed Kilani, CEO of Fanera and crowned winner of the inaugural SiGMA Asia Pitch, told us: “Don’t fall for your idea, fall for the execution. The product will undergo a lot of changes, this vision will remain, and this is what people will invest in. Our goal is to become a global company with a great mission.”
The SiGMA Achievement Celebration Evening 每 AGS Awards featured some of the industry’s brightest minds showcasing innovative solutions, leading content creators and partners.
