The Wyoming Gaming Commission has issued a public warning about the growing number of illegal interactive gaming (iGaming) websites and applications targeting residents and visitors in the state.
While online sports wagering and fantasy sports are legal and regulated in Wyoming, real-money online 바카라 games—such as slots, blackjack, roulette, and poker—remain strictly prohibited. The Commission stressed that these forms of iGaming are not licensed or regulated under state law.
Despite the ban, several unregulated platforms continue to market 바카라-style games to Wyoming residents. Many of these operations are based offshore and attempt to appear legitimate by registering Wyoming LLCs or displaying local addresses. These can include so-called “sweepstakes” or “social 바카라” sites that offer real-money payouts, as well as direct online 바카라 platforms operating without any state licence.
“We want to make it unequivocally clear: no online 바카라, iGaming, or sweepstakes site is licensed by the Wyoming Gaming Commission, and they are all operating illegally in Wyoming,” said Executive Director Nicholas Larramendy.
“We strongly encourage everyone to avoid these websites, however, patrons who choose to engage with these unlicensed platforms do so at their own risk.”
Larramendy further noted the difficulty of enforcing Wyoming laws against overseas operators. “The Wyoming Gaming Commission cannot provide assistance or intervention in cases of disputes regarding winnings, or other account issues arising from participation in illegal iGaming. Again, because most of these operations are based outside of the United States, enforcement of local laws becomes difficult. The Wyoming Gaming Commission will do our best to attempt to shut down the operation in our state when we become aware of an illegal operation.”
The to be cautious when encountering online gambling services claiming to offer 바카라 games in Wyoming. It highlighted that legal sports wagering operators undergo strict regulatory checks to ensure fairness and consumer protection.
“Our primary responsibility is to protect the integrity of gaming in Wyoming and safeguard its citizens,” the Commission added.
“We urge anyone with questions about the legality of a particular online gambling site or service to contact our office directly.”
In February 2025, a bill that aimed to legalise online 바카라 gaming in Wyoming failed to move forward in the state legislature. House Bill 162 (HB 162), introduced by Representative Robert Davis and co-sponsored by Representatives Landon Brown and J.T. Larson, was discussed during two sessions of the House Travel, Recreation, Wildlife, and Cultural Resources Committee.
The bill proposed to regulate online 바카라 gaming under the Wyoming Gaming Commission and would have allowed online gambling on tribal lands through a state gaming agreement, as Wyoming only has tribal 바카라s.
However, when Representative Cathy Connelly made a motion to advance the bill, no committee member supported it. As a result, Committee Chair Andrew Byron announced that the bill was postponed indefinitely.
The proposal faced strong opposition from representatives of the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone tribes. Tribal leaders stated that earlier gambling expansions, including legal sports betting and historical horse racing, had already reduced their revenue. They warned that allowing online 바카라 games would further weaken their financial position and affect their ability to deliver vital services to their communities.
In addition, responsible gambling advocates raised concerns about the risk of addiction, especially among young people.
According to reports, Representative Davis has said he plans to reintroduce the legislation next year.
