The ink is barely dry, but SiGMA Magazine is back and making waves in SEA. Published to coincide with our third event for SiGMA Asia, our 33rd issue examines a rapidly diversifying market. Moving beyond traditional strongholds and embracing new markets, technologies, and opportunities, the region is embracing transformation – setting the tone for things to come.
For our cover, we spotlight ALT5, a company redefining real-time crypto payments in online gaming and digital entertainment. In an op-ed, CEO Peter Tassiopoulos dives into the core barriers slowing adoption and lays out a roadmap for building a more inclusive, efficient digital economy.
That spirit of transformation is echoed by Joe Pisano, CEO of Jade Entertainment, who speaks to the growing influence of AI and blockchain on global gaming. We see the future moving into blockchain with payments, Web3 for entertainment imagine entering a 바카라 city and playing live slots in a Web3 environment, he opines.
We also sat down with H.E., the Ambassador of Malta to China, to discuss shifting regional shifts, including Thailands recent push to legalize 바카라s through the Entertainment Complex Bill. Despite ongoing domestic debate, the bill signals Thailands intent to compete directly with established gaming hubs like Macau and Singapore. (See more on page 12.)
Macau also faces competition from other quarters. Pisano envisions Sri Lanka as the regions next major gaming destination – a new Macau in the making. With its strategic location, untapped potential, and growing interest from international stakeholders, he believes Sri Lanka is emerging as a serious contender on the gaming map. Indeed, the country is set to host SiGMAs inaugural South Asia event this December, with a summit and conference set to take place in Colombo. (Full interview on page 47.)
The Philippines, however, remains firmly in the spotlight as a global hotspot for hospitality. Major new developments are on the horizon, including the launch of Westside City by Suntrust Resort Holdings in Manilas Entertainment City (Q4 2025), and a new integrated resort near the Brittany Hotel Global South, backed by the Villar Group. We caught up with Jerry Chan, SVP of Electronic Gaming and Special Projects at Okada Manila, to get his perspective on whats next. (Read his interview on page 16.)
