AIBC Eurasia, which took place in Dubai this week as part of its five year anniversary celebration, welcomed an exclusive delegation of ambassadors, business leaders, and officials for a distinguished diplomatic business luncheon hosted by SiGMA Group.

This highly anticipated event provided a unique platform for business leaders and dignitaries to discuss strategic economic growth areas, and to explore high-value investment opportunities and to engage with key policy shapers.

Hosted in the elegant Al Baraha Ballroom at the InterContinental Hotel, Dubai Festival City, the event began with a warm welcome from H.E Maria Camilleri Calleja, Ambassador of Malta to the UAE and Permanent Representative of Malta to IRENA, followed by a presentation from Group Founder Eman Pulis.

Speaking to SiGMA Group ahead of the event, Her Excellency, Maria Camilleri Calleja, Ambassador of Malta to the UAE and Permanent Representative to IRENA Abu Dhabi, said, “The Embassy of Malta in the UAE is pleased to join forces with AIBC, SIGMA and MED TECH WORLD, to bring you this information and networking event, which is sure to gather significant support from countries and business actors alike. The success of this event encourages us to work even more with Maltese companies to bring more Malta to the UAE in all sectors of commerce and trade.”

Addressing the luncheon, SiGMA Group Founder, Eman Pulis, spoke about the company’s early days, expressing his gratitude to Malta – the summits first home. I remember how we started 10 years ago with absolutely nothing, yet here we are today expanding beyond our comfort zone. It makes me very happy. There is no SiGMA without Malta. We are proud to support the country by retaining the conference on the island.

He also delved into growth, speaking of upcoming events taking place this year, and of the need to recognise that regulation is the only way to go. Without proper regulation, he stressed, players will be left unsecure.

We want governments to understand that the only way to go is to regulate the space.

We want to sit down with the governments, explain the economic benefits, the net positive that this industry has. I can safely say companies worldwide know what we do, they trust us, they invest in us, they attend our conferences. We want policy makers, regulators, and authorities to also sit with the business community so that this industry can thrive sustainably.

The luncheon was followed by a guided tour of the AIBC Eurasia expo and conference.
