Building foundations

Income generating initiatives like sewing and welding projects are underway, ensuring that all profits remain within the community and directly benefit local families.

Plans are already in motion for the construction of a health centre, further extending the reach of this initiative. Local leader Kapitan Jose Lawag expressed the communitys gratitude, thanking the SiGMA Foundation for its belief in the people of Batiawan and its role in turning this vision into reality.

As SiGMA Asia 2025 draws to a close, the inauguration of the Batiawan Community Centre marks the beginning of a new chapter. Rooted in collaboration and shared vision, the centre stands for long-term, community driven progress. With continued partnership between the SiGMA Foundation, local leaders and global allies, Batiawan is poised to thrive as a model for sustainable development shaped by its people and driven by collective ambition.
