Seyed Mohammed Siam Husseini leads the charge for change in AIBC keynote
In an inspiring keynote address, H.E Seyed Mohammed Siam Husseini, CEO of His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum Group of Companies, welcomed attendees at the AIBC Summit in Dubai and shared a powerful vision for Dubais future. With a warm reception, he acknowledged the diverse audience and noted a striking statistic: 60% of those present were visitors rather than residents. His goal, he stated passionately, is to convert this visiting majority into long-term residents of Dubai.
Building Dubai
Husseini emphasised that Dubais foundation was built on much more than oil. While oil played a role, the true driving force behind the emirates success has been its visionary leadership, relentless ambition, and innovative spirit. Unlike many resource-rich nations, Dubai did not rely solely on its natural wealth. Instead, it leveraged vision, determination, and strategic planning to create one of the worlds most advanced and prosperous cities.
He highlighted how Dubai began with the sands, with a dream that turned into a reality through resilience and collective effort. We started everything with the sands. We started everything with the visions. We started everything from the base, and we sat together and said, Okay, lets do something. Lets make a difference. Lets make a change.
The Role of Majlis in decision-making
Drawing from UAEs deep-rooted cultural traditions, Husseini introduced the concept of Majlis – an ancient practice of gathering in a private setting to discuss important matters. For centuries, the Majlis has been a place where leaders and community members meet to make critical decisions. This tradition remains relevant today, serving as a cornerstone for discussing infrastructure, technology, and economic advancements.
In our Majlis, we sit, we talk, and we make decisions, he explained. While the discussions once focused on building homes and mosques, today they centre on cutting-edge technologies, artificial intelligence, and the worlds best infrastructure. AI, he emphasised – is booming.

A future driven by visionary leadership
Husseini paid tribute to the UAEs leadership, specifically mentioning Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. Their relentless pursuit of excellence has positioned the country at the forefront of global innovation. Their vision is not just about economic growth but also about ensuring safety, embracing new technologies, and fostering sustainability.
A key takeaway from Husseinis speech was the importance of setting and achieving ambitious goals. The UAE continuously sets strategic goals – Vision 2030 – and follows through with action. He urged residents and visitors alike to adopt a similar mindset, working collectively to drive progress and innovation.
Setting goals is crucial. We always plan ahead – 2025, 2030, 2029 – this is our way of ensuring progress. I believe that if everyone here follows the same principle, we can achieve incredible things together.
