Scientific Games has announced that it will continue its partnership with Poland’s state lottery operator, Totalizator Sportowy, to supply instant scratchcard games. The two organisations have been working together for over 20 years, and the renewed agreement means Polish National Lottery players will continue to have access to a wide range of scratchcard games developed by Scientific Games.
Totalizator Sportowy, which celebrated the 25th anniversary of its instant lottery products in 2024, ranks among the top five performing instant game lotteries in Europe, according to La Fleur’s 2025 World Lottery Almanac.
The continued partnership ensures Polish players will have access to Scientific Games’ portfolio of engaging and modern scratchcard games.
“Our goal is to give our players entertaining scratchcard experiences while responsibly generating maximum proceeds for Polish sport and culture. We are delighted to continue working with Scientific Games to offer fun, modern scratch experiences,” said Katarzyna Woznica-Borkowska, Manager of Instant Products for Totalizator Sportowy.
The has continued to grow, with scratchcard sales in Poland increasing by 20% from 2022 to 2025. This reflects the growing interest in these games among players.
As part of the continued partnership, Scientific Games and Totalizator Sportowy recently launched the PLN30 GIGA 7 scratchcard, which features Dimension technology. This technology adds a 3D effect with holographic visuals that shift when the card is tilted.
“Scientific Games is honoured to continue our longtime relationship with that we have built across two decades,” said Paul Dures, Lottery Sales Director EMEA for Scientific Games. “We look forward to continuing our work to drive meaningful growth for the scratchcard games in Poland, creating more innovative and attractive games for players.”
Scientific Games is a leading lottery solutions provider, working with 110 government-regulated lotteries globally, including over 50 in Europe. The company produces more than 70% of the world’s instant game retail sales and is the primary supplier to nine of the top 10 performing instant game lotteries.
Earlier this month, Scientific Games launched GameChoice, an AI-powered personalised game recommendation tool designed to improve player engagement and diversify lottery participation. Currently deployed across nearly 10,000 self-service machines in the US, GameChoice uses player data and real-time analytics from SG Analytics to suggest a mix of instant and draw games tailored to each player’s preferences.
“We developed GameChoice to modernise the lottery experience and meet evolving consumer expectations. By expanding player engagement and boosting game sales, GameChoice helps sustain vital lottery funding to good cause programmes such as education, health, and welfare,” said Joe Fulton, Vice President of Product Management at Scientific Games.
In its first month, GameChoice was responsible for generating suggestions in over nine million shopping baskets, contributing to approximately $9.8 million in retail sales and an estimated $280,000 in daily revenue—equating to around $105 million annually.
In addition to its European success, Scientific Games is also expanding its global operations. The company was recently authorised as a licensed lottery supplier in the United Arab Emirates by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA). This approval enables Scientific Games to support the country’s first official lottery, which launched in November 2024.
“We are extremely pleased that Scientific Games has been authorised as a lottery supplier in the UAE with this licence. We look forward to putting our more than 50 years of expertise to work in the UAE to offer high-performing products that will responsibly help drive revenue for lottery programmes supporting local communities and projects of national importance,” said Michael Conforti, President of International Business at Scientific Games.
In Brazil, the company is part of Consórcio SP Loterias, a joint venture with IGT Global Services, which won a 15-year concession to operate the São Paulo state lottery. The initiative includes setting up 31 exclusive lottery outlets and over 11,000 retail points. The revenue from this lottery will help support public health services, with the concession agreement mandating strong compliance with anti-money laundering regulations and responsible gaming standards.
Since 1973, Scientific Games has been a trusted provider of lottery games, systems, analytics, and services in 50 countries. With an eye on digital transformation, personalised player experiences, and responsible gaming, the company continues to be a global leader in the sector.
