Shirley Pulis Xerxen

In a deep dive into the evolving landscape of affiliate programmes, SiGMA podcast host Maria Debrincat welcomes David Harris, Affiliate Programme Technical Team Lead at ReferOn. Harris has emerged as a trailblazer, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the affiliate technical field.

In this interview, Harris shares insights into his remarkable journey and that of ReferOn, a relatively new brand that has rapidly made its mark in the competitive marketplace. Harris sheds light on the platform’s main concept, innovative features, and the challenges faced during its establishment.

The genesis of ReferOn

Harris explains that ReferOn originated from the need for a platform that could keep up with the day-to-day operations of expanding iGaming requirements. He discusses how the team, over a period of eighteen months, developed ReferOn from an idea to its alpha beta stage, culminating in a grand reveal in London in February 2023.

Partnerships and growth

David Harris emphasizes the importance of partnerships in the industry and highlights ReferOn’s collaborations with notable names such as 7StarsPartners, 247, MioMedia, Zilla, Royal Games, and BetRiot. The platform has steadily gained traction and interest from affiliates and operators alike.

Innovation and technical solutions

Harris outlines three major unique selling points that set ReferOn apart from other platforms.

  • Company Grouping: ReferOn has introduced a novel concept of “company grouping,” providing both admin users and affiliates with enhanced visibility and ease of reporting. The affiliate is  given a master login with access to all their accounts in one place.
  • Rewarding Structure: The platform offers a streamlined workflow for creating reward plans at any level in the system, eliminating the clunkiness associated with commission plan groups.
  • Reporting Structure: ReferOn’s reporting structure stands out with its pivotable approach, allowing users to select measures, group buys, time frames, and filters from a single, flexible area without additional charges.

Envisioning the future

Harris concludes the interview by discussing ReferOn’s future. He envisions ongoing development with a backlog of features yet to be implemented, aiming to roll out significant updates in Q1 and Q2 of the next year. The ReferOn team remains focused on incorporating user feedback and adapting to market trends to ensure ReferOn’s continued success.
