The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) recorded PHP28.07 billion ($503.8 million) in total revenues for the first quarter of 2025, marking an 11.2 percent year-on-year increase. Of this, PHP25.52 billion ($458 million) came from gaming operations, reflecting the continued rise of the electronic gaming sector.

Electronic Games (E-Games) and E-Bingo made up the largest portion of revenues, generating PHP14.32 billion ($257 million) or 56 percent of the total gaming income. Licensed 바카라s contributed PHP8.32 billion (32.6 percent), while PAGCOR-operated 바카라s added PHP2.88 billion (11.31 percent).

This solid performance reflects PAGCORs commitment to responsible governance and fiscal discipline, Tengco stated. The gains we have made in the first quarter will allow us to contribute even more to nation-building for the rest of the year, Alejandro Tengco, PAGCOR Chairman and CEO, said.

Lower expenses, higher profitability

Cost control measures also played a key role in PAGCORs improved profitability. Operating expenses declined by 15.54 percent, falling from PHP7.36 billion ($132 million) in the first quarter of 2024 to PHP6.21 billion ($111 million) in the same period this year.

The result was a net income of PHP4.22 billion ($75.7 million), up 23 percent from the PHP3.43 billion ($61.5 million) reported in the previous years first quarter. Tengco credited the outcome to internal reforms and prudent management. The continued growth is a product of enhanced operational efficiency and strategic reforms within the agency, he said.

Increased contributions to nation-building

The agencys contributions to nation-building (CNB) rose to PHP18.9 billion ($339 million), a 21.5 percent increase compared to the PHP15.56 billion ($279 million) contributed during the first quarter of 2024. This amount includes remittances to the National Treasury, support for sports development, and funding for local government units that host Casino Filipino branches.

Tengco reaffirmed PAGCORs goal to ensure that revenues are reinvested in public services and infrastructure. We will continue to innovate and strengthen regulatory oversight to ensure that the agencys revenues directly benefit the Filipino people, he said.

Operational reforms and international standards

The strong financial results come on the heels of PAGCORs successful retention of its ISO 9001:2015 certification. The certification was awarded by DQS Certification Philippines, Inc. following a detailed audit of PAGCORs operations in December 2024.

This is the result of the collective effort of the entire PAGCOR family, Tengco said. It reflects our teams discipline, teamwork, and commitment to quality service for the benefit of the government and the Filipino people.

Auditors noted improvements in PAGCORs internal controls, customer feedback systems, and compliance training. The scope of the certification was expanded to cover more branches, underscoring s commitment to raising standards across its operations.
