The Newport World Resorts 바카라 complex in Manila is expanding its online gaming operations to tap into the Philippines’ rapidly growing digital gambling market.
Reportedly, the parent firm Alliance Global Group Inc. filed a on 21 May 2025, announcing that Newport World Resorts is developing an upgraded version of its online platform.
The company clarified that no new gaming app is being launched. Instead, the focus is on enhancing the platform’s performance, which is expected to boost overall revenues for Travellers International Hotel Group, Inc. and Alliance Global by the end of the year 2025.
The move comes as the Philippines’ online gaming industry continues to gain momentum. The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) estimates that gross gaming revenue (GGR) from the country’s online segment could reach PHP 200 billion (around €3.3 billion) this year. In the first quarter alone, e-games and e-bingo generated PHP51.39 billion, accounting for 49.4 percent of total GGR across the sector.
Newport World Resorts is operated by Travellers International Hotel Group Inc., a firm majority-owned by Alliance Global. It is one of several integrated resorts that have recently increased their focus on digital gaming.
The resort already holds a Philippine Inland Gaming Operator (PIGO) licence, which allows it to offer online 바카라 games to local players. Its current platform, branded “Newport World Casino,” features slot games and live-streamed baccarat sessions linked directly to the property’s land-based 바카라 operations.
The PIGO framework was introduced by PAGCOR during the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling selected land-based operators to reach domestic players online during lockdowns. Though initially a temporary solution, the system has since become a core part of the Philippine gaming landscape.
Travellers International has benefited from its PIGO operations, reporting core revenues of PHP 7.69 billion (€127 million) in the first quarter of 2025 — a 7.8 percent increase year-on-year. Segment profit also grew sharply, rising to PHP 101.4 million (€1.67 million) from PHP 12.8 million (€210,000) a year earlier. The company’s total GGR for the quarter rose by approximately 6 percent to PHP 7.9 billion (€130 million), supported by a rebound in VIP activity and improved hold rates.
Alliance Global noted that the enhanced online platform is expected to contribute further to the group’s financial performance in the months ahead.
“The improved gaming revenue from online gaming will positively impact overall revenue of Travellers International and Alliance Global,” the company stated in its filing.
The Philippines remains one of the few jurisdictions in Asia where online gaming is both regulated and expanding. As more players migrate to digital platforms and operators invest in more advanced systems, online gaming is set to become a key pillar of the country’s gaming industry.
