Mohegan Sun and Tesla launch Connecticuts first EV showroom
Mohegan Sun and Tesla have jointly launched the states inaugural Tesla Electric Vehicle (EV) Showroom at Mohegan Sun. This milestone marks the commencement of zero-emission vehicle sales in Connecticut.
The grand inauguration of this cutting-edge showroom, complete with a Sales and Delivery Centre, occurred on December 20, 2023. The event was graced by stakeholders and prospective Tesla owners.
Sovereign status
Distinguished as the first-of-its-kind in Connecticut, the sales and delivery center owes its existence to the Mohegan Tribes sovereign status, empowering them with the ability to establish independent ordinances and governance.
Beyond being a commercial endeavor, the addition of zero-emission vehicle sales at the Shops at Mohegan Sun aims to champion cleaner air and enhance residents well-being. Furthermore, this collaboration involves an extensive expansion of charging infrastructure at the location.
Diverse range of Tesla products
Jeff Hamilton, President & GM of Mohegan Sun, (above in photo), expressed, Opening the Tesla EV Showroom here in our Shops at Mohegan Sun, with a full sales, service and delivery operation, is the next chapter in our constant goal of creating unrivaled experiences across our 5.5 million square foot destination. This new partnership allows for a significant upgrade to our existing charging spaces as well, creating an enhanced amenity and more convenience for our guests and travelers throughout the region.
The Tesla EV Showroom welcomes visitors from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Sunday through Thursday, extending hours until 10:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Guests have the opportunity to explore Teslas diverse range of products and schedule demo drives of popular models such as the Model 3, Y, S, or X.
Looking forward, Mohegan Sun and Tesla have ambitious plans to deploy 60 new Tesla Universal Wall Connectors across designated garages by Spring 2024, with potential expansion based on demand. This initiative aims to position Mohegan Sun as a pivotal charging hub for electric vehicles in the state.
Impressive Q4 results
These remarkable developments closely follow Mohegans recent Q4 financial results, highlighting growth across various operations, including digital gaming. The 바카라 resorts commitment to diversification is evident through initiatives like Mohegan Inspire.
The appointment of David Fausel as Director of Advertising at the Mohegan Sun resort in April 2023 paved the way for the strategic plan to open a Tesla electric vehicle showroom, officially announced in July 2023.
