Macau gambling revenue could soar by as much as 14 percent this month, according to a recent note from Jefferies Equity Research analyst Anne Ling, as reported by media. The low end of the growth projection was 9 percent. This optimistic forecast comes at a time when the Macau government also raised its forecast.

Casino sector expected to generate up to $2.5B

Now, Macau’s 바카라 sector is expected generate up to $2.5 billion in June, compared to the previous prediction of $2.3 billion. Meanwhile, for the week ending June 15, Macau 바카라s posted an average daily win of $84.8 million, which is 5 percent higher than the previous week. It also represents a 29 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024. Segment-wise, VIP and general mass-market segments were slightly down. Whereas the premium-mass category is booming.

According to the analysts, Jefferies expects daily revenue to range between $76.7 million and $84.1 million through the rest of June. This implies at least $2.4 billion in monthly gross gaming revenue (GGR). Meanwhile, the Macau government expects $2.3 billion a month in gambling win for the remainder of 2025. “The above-trend month is notable, given the recent decrease in the Macau government expectation,” Ling added.

Ling noted following a recent visit to Macau, “that near-term GGR remains solid with the help of new properties and [meeting] events, while competition level has increased with concessionaires now shifting more focus to absolute EBITDA, based on our channel checks.” However, she also wrote that the sustainability of the premium-mass sector is not easy to ascertain. She added, “The backdrop of economic uncertainty remains a key factor.”

GGR so far and predictions

Last week, a note by JP Morgan Securities (Asia Pacific) Ltd noted that consumer demand for Macau 바카라 gambling has reportedly remained “healthy” in early June. Analysts said the GGR for the first eight days is estimated to be MOP5.2 billion ($640.64 million) or MOP650 million a day. Analysts DS Kim and Selina Li wrote, “Albeit lower than May – MOP684 million a day –this is a very healthy level for shoulder months such as June, seemingly helped by G-Dragon concert as well as the Dragon Boat festival.”

Another note by Citigroup forecasted that Macau’s GGR will grow by 6 percent in the second half of 2025, resulting in a 4 percent year-on-year increase for the full year to reach about MOP235.7 billion. Analysts George Choi and Timothy Chau wrote that Macau’s gaming market is “reaching an inflection point for good” and that they “remain bullish” on the city’s gaming sector.

Coming to the shifting Macau gaming landscape, with the looming closure of satellite 바카라s by the end of 2025, Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai said that the impact of their closures on the city’s gross domestic product (GDP) would not be significant. This is because Macau’s concessionaires will shoulder their responsibility, according to the chief executive.
