International Game Technology (IGT), the UK-based gaming technology leader, has entered a decade-long agreement with Luxembourgs national lottery, Loterie Nationale. This deal, facilitated by IGTs subsidiary IGT Global Services Limited, aims to modernise the lotterys operations through cutting-edge technology and advanced systems.

As part of the agreement, IGT will introduce its OMNIA platform, a comprehensive cloud-based iLottery system designed to integrate digital and retail lottery services.

This includes upgrades to the Lotterys central gaming infrastructure, the deployment of modern point-of-sale terminals, and peripherals such as Retailer Pro and GameTouch self-service vending machines. OMNIA offers advanced features like scalability, rapid system enhancements, and responsible gaming tools, ensuring a seamless player experience.

Contract set to run till 2036

For the unaware, Loterie Nationale is Luxembourg’s official national lottery, offering a variety of games including EuroMillions, EuroDreams, Lotto, High 5, scratch cards, sports betting, and PMU.

Established to provide entertaining and responsible gaming experiences, the organisation has been instrumental in supporting good causes throughout the country. For Loterie Nationale, this partnership with IGT aims to enhance player experiences and drive continued sales growth, reinforcing Loterie Nationale’s commitment to innovation and community support.

Awarded through a European public procurement procedure, the contract will run until 2036. Lon Losch, Director of Loterie Nationale, praised the collaboration, highlighting IGTs contributions to retail growth and digital innovation over the past 20 years. He emphasised that the upgraded systems would drive sales, enhance player experiences, and support charitable initiatives funded by the lottery.

Jay Gendron, IGTs Chief Operating Officer for Global Lottery, expressed excitement about building on this long standing partnership. He noted that IGTs previous efforts had expanded retail networks, introduced self-service options, and launched iLottery services, all of which have strengthened Luxembourgs lottery sector.

Exclusive RGS access likely

Additionally, the deal will give Loterie Nationale access to IGTs Remote Game Server (RGS) platform, which boasts a vast portfolio of digital games. This includes popular themes, omnichannel games, and progressive jackpots, tailored to engage players and boost revenues.

The new Retailer Pro terminals, equipped for high transaction volumes, will enhance efficiency and convenience for operators and players alike. IGTs global influence is evident, with partnerships covering eight of the worlds top ten lotteries and 16 of the top 25. In the U.S., it serves as the primary technology provider for 26 state lotteries.

This latest agreement reinforces IGTs leadership in delivering innovative and responsible gaming solutions worldwide.
