Kangwon Land, South Koreas sole 바카라 that allows local patrons to play, has reported a net income of KRW455.38 billion ($316 million) in 2024, a 33.6 percent jump from the corresponding year. This growth was attributed to a boost in non-operating income during the year.
The company saw a modest sales growth of 2.8 percent, reaching KRW1.43 trillion, up from KRW1.39 trillion the year before. Kangwon reported a flat year-on-year performance in operating income, remaining unchanged at KRW283.28 billion.
As of 31 December 2024, Kangwon Lands total assets stood at nearly KRW4.71 trillion, with liabilities reaching KRW821.73 billion.
Earlier last month, Kangwon Land revealed that it plans to invest KRW179.6 billion ($128 million) into the development of a second 바카라 site as part of a broader $1.9 billion expansion initiative announced in September 2024.
The new 바카라 will be located within the High1 Grand Hotel Main Tower, covering 16,161 square meters spread across multiple floors. This expansion will triple Kangwon Lands gaming area available, a move that could significantly boost both local and international visitors. As part of the 바카라s luxurious offerings, Kangwon Land plans to introduce VIP rooms designed for high-rollers and premium guests.
In addition, Kangwon Land has received approval to increase the total number of gaming tables from 200 to 250, and the number of gaming machines will increase from 1,560 to 1,860.
