In one of the biggest official data rights deals in esports history, ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) has named GRID its exclusive distributor and integrity partner for live match data across all EFG‑operated Counter‑Strike 2 and Dota 2 competitions including marquee events such as Intel Extreme Masters (IEM), ESL Pro League, and ESL One.
Starting immediately at IEM Cologne (23 July to 3 August 2025), with a $1.25 million prize pool and massive audience figures from 2024 (over a million concurrent viewers and 25.5 million hours watched), GRID will deliver live data feeds, audio‑video streams, and dynamic visualisations for betting and media partners.
ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) has partnered with data platform GRID in a move aimed at improving how official esports data is managed and distributed. The agreement, which kicks off with IEM Cologne 2025, will see GRID provide scalable infrastructure to support data delivery across betting, media, and fan-facing platforms. The partnership is intended to offer more consistent and secure access to match data for stakeholders including broadcasters, partners, and regulators.
For GRID, this deal reinforces its position as the go-to source for live esports data. With products like GRID Stream, GRID Insights, and GRID 바카라, GRID is growing its impact as the worldwide data and integrity partner for all EFG Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 events.
In an exclusive conversation with SiGMA News, GRID CEO Moritz Maurer emphasised that data integrity lies at the heart of their technology. With esports data now powering betting markets and media overlays, GRID’s secure pipeline is designed to prevent any form of tampering or delay.
Maurer stated, “Data integrity is foundational to everything we do at GRID. Our technology is purpose-built for esports, from the ground up, enabling direct access to the game server and a secure, proprietary pipeline that we fully control end-to-end. This ensures there’s no room for tampering, delays, or unauthorised access.”
He further added, “Beyond the tech, we also operate an in-house integrity team that monitors real-time data feeds across our partner network to identify and investigate anomalies. Whether it’s latency irregularities or suspicious behaviour patterns, we’re constantly auditing the data flow to uphold the highest standards of transparency and trust across our entire content portfolio.”
When asked by SiGMA News how this deal supports revenue in betting-restricted markets, Maurer pointed to the broader potential of official esports data. The EFG-GRID partnership, he said, unlocks multiple sustainable monetisation paths beyond just wagering.
Maurer explained, “We’ve always believed that official data is a growth lever for the entire esports’ ecosystem. This partnership provides EFG with the infrastructure to monetise its IP in a sustainable and compliant manner, through betting, fantasy, media, brand partnerships, and fan engagement tools.”
The CEO concluded, “Our role is to ensure that only high-quality, rights-holder-approved data reaches the market. That creates trust with regulators, value for partners, and ultimately, revenue streams that flow back into the ecosystem. EFG decides how to reinvest those funds, whether it’s prize pools, talent development, or live events, to support ecosystem growth. We make sure the engine is running efficiently, securely, and with IP integrity at the core.”
Esports and gaming data platform, GRID provides official data services to major publishers and tournament organisers, including Riot Games, Ubisoft, KRAFTON, and BLAST. With a strong focus on innovation and integrity, GRID is helping shape the way esports data is used across competitive gaming, media, and betting.
In 2025, GRID launched several products that redefine how esports data is delivered and monetised. GRID Stream provides synchronised, low-latency video feeds tailored specifically for sportsbooks. GRID Insights brings real-time predictive analytics to enhance broadcasts and betting experiences. Meanwhile, GRID 바카라 gives game developers a powerful toolkit to extract, manage, and monetise in-game data compatible with any game engine or title.
