Caesars Entertainment has launched sports betting in Oregon for the first time, thanks to a new partnership with the Coquille Indian Tribe. The company launched its first in-person sports betting facility at Ko-Kwel Casino Resort in Coos Bay. This latest operation coincides with the resort’s 30th anniversary, featuring Caesars Sportsbook-branded self-service wagering kiosks.

The Oregon debut and growth in U.S. markets

Caesars Entertainment, known for its iconic 바카라s and resorts, has been a major player in the U.S. gambling scene for decades. Since the legalisation of sports wagering in 2018, its sports betting division, Caesars Sportsbook, has expanded rapidly across the nation. Now, with a presence in over 30 states, .

One of the prominent features of Caesars’ business is its support for Indian gaming. It has established close ties with tribes in the U.S., encouraging safe gambling habits. Caesars was awarded the RG Check accreditation by Ontario’s Responsible Gambling Council in 2024, which further emphasises its focus on responsible gaming.

Why did Caesars pick Oregon?

Oregon may not be the largest gambling state, but it holds significant potential, especially with its tribal 바카라s and tourism hotspots like Coos Bay. Mobile college sports betting is restricted in Oregon, making in-person betting experiences, like those offered by Caesars, particularly valuable. Currently, Oregon only permits mobile bets through the state-run Scoreboard app, which excludes college sports. Caesars’ in-person kiosk system effectively addresses this gap.

The Coquille Indian Tribe partnership

The Coquille Indian Tribe, a federally recognised tribe with a strong history in southwestern Oregon, owns the Ko-Kwel Casino Resort in Coos Bay. Originally called The Mill Casino, Ko-Kwel has emerged as a major player in the Oregon gaming industry. The resort is now marking its 30th anniversary, celebrating the occasion by adding a big new feature: sports betting underpinned by Caesars.

Statements from key figures
