In a significant development last week, Geraldo Alckmin, the Vice-President of Brazil, met with Mor Weizer, CEO of 바카라tech, in a meeting coordinated by deputy Felipe Carreras (PSB-PE), the leader of the party in the Chamber and an active proponent of gambling sector and sports betting regulation.
During the meeting, Alckmin reportedly expressed clear support for legalising gambling and sports betting, signaling a potential shift in Brazil’s stance on the matter. The discussions highlighted the promising prospect of lucrative investments for Brazil, with 바카라tech demonstrating its backing for the regulation of these two forms of chance-based entertainment in the country.
The draft law that seeks to regulate games of chance has already been approved by the Chamber, awaiting a crucial vote in the Senate. Although no specific date has been scheduled for the vote, expectations are high that it will take place in the second semester of this year.
Carreras, in an interview with CNN, shared his insights on the matter, stating, “They believe that Brazil has everything to be the second market in the world. The investments in each complex of 바카라s in integrated resorts is more than US$ 1 billion. Japan will receive the first investment and it will be in order US$4 billion,”
According to Carreras, Alckmin attentively listened to the arguments put forth and responded positively, affirming his support for the regulation. “The vice-president said that he is in favor of it and that he will manage within the government to move forward with this,” Carreras added.
The potential legalisation of gambling and sports betting in Brazil could open doors to significant economic growth and attract substantial investments, placing the country on the global map as a major player in the industry.
