Days after Anjouan introduced a new Recognition Certificate Programme for B2B gaming service providers, the regulator has provided fresh details and updates on its B2B License Recognition Certificate.
The new scheme is designed to formalise and simplify the role of third-party service providers that work with operators holding Anjouan licences. The programme is now live, and B2B providers who are already licensed in respected regulatory markets — such as the Isle of Man, Malta, Romania, Sweden, and other internationally recognised jurisdictions — can apply for the certificate.
The Recognition Certificate allows approved B2B providers to legally supply platforms, game content, software, random number generators (RNG), and other services to Anjouan-licensed B2C operators. These providers will not need to apply for a full Anjouan B2B licence, provided they meet Anjouan’s standards and are in good standing with their primary regulator.
The Anjouan regulator has confirmed that from 1 July 2025, holding either a full Anjouan B2B licence or a B2B License Recognition Certificate will be mandatory for all B2B entities working with Anjouan-licensed operators. This rule covers many types of B2B providers, such as software developers, platform providers, RNG suppliers, and game content companies.
In a bid to help businesses adjust to the new rules, the regulator will provide a 90-day grace period starting on 1 July 2025. This will give B2B providers already working with Anjouan-licensed B2C operators extra time to ensure they meet the new requirements. The regulator is encouraging early applications to prevent delays, with compliance teams ready to support and guide businesses through the process.
The regulator said, “We believe strong, verified partnerships between B2C operators and compliant B2B providers are essential to maintaining a safe, competitive, and transparent iGaming ecosystem. This initiative marks another step in building a modern, respected licensing environment that supports innovation while protecting all parties involved.”
After listening to feedback from the industry, the regulator has reduced the annual cost of the Recognition Certificate by €700 (about $800). This price cut is part of the regulator’s plan to encourage more companies to join and to build a reliable, cooperative, and globally accepted licensing system.
This move shows Anjouan’s ongoing efforts to improve its licensing standards, promote honesty and responsibility, and support trusted B2B providers in building a safe and open iGaming market. Anjouan Gaming said, “Let’s move forward together — with clarity, credibility, and collaboration.”
The regulator is encouraging B2B providers who want to keep working with Anjouan-licensed operators to start the recognition process as soon as possible. Acting early will help make the transition smoother and prevent any interruptions to their business.
