Philippines’ Alliance Global Group (AGI) has announced a new investment venture of approximately PHP 5 billion (€81 million) over the next year to expand its gaming and leisure operations through its subsidiary Travellers International. A significant portion of the funds will go towards a new luxury hotel featuring exclusive VIP gaming at its flagship Newport World Resorts (NWR) complex.

The new property, named The Narra Palm Hotel and Villa, will include 157 hotel suites and private villas alongside high-end gaming salons reserved for VIP guests. The project is a part of AGI’s broader strategy of targeting affluent players seeking exclusive experiences within the Philippines’ expanding gaming sector.

In addition to the Newport development, the PHP 5 billion investment will support ongoing projects in Boracay and Cebu, as well as construction progress at the Westside City development in Manila’s Entertainment City.

For a long time, AGI had been planning to shift its focus away from Newport. In October 2024, it revealed plans to invest €278 million (Php17 billion) in a major 바카라 resort within Megaworld’s 150-hectare Boracay Newcoast township, marking its first significant expansion outside of Newport.

Chasing the VIP customers

Beyond its gaming ventures, AGI has outlined a wider capital investment program totaling PHP 59 billion (€961 million) for the group over the next year. Of this, PHP 50 billion (€814 million) has been allocated for real estate developments under its Megaworld property unit.

Travellers International’s emphasis on VIP gaming matches the larger trends in the Philippine 바카라 market. According to industry data, VIP players drive the majority of the sector’s revenue. In 2022, VIP gamblers accounted for approximately 62 percent of the company’s gross gaming revenue, significantly exceeding that of mass-market players.

The VIP segment has proven remarkably resilient in the post-pandemic period. High-net-worth customers from markets such as South Korea, Taiwan, and ASEAN nations have arrived in substantial numbers, driving continued growth in high-stakes gaming activity.

VIP prospects in the Philippines

The regulatory environment in the Philippines, supervised by PAGCOR, remains relatively open compared to other regional nations, enabling operators to provide integrated resort experiences that blend luxury hospitality with exclusive gaming.

Across Asia, the Philippines is increasingly positioned as a key 바카라 destination. Industry forecasts suggest total 바카라 investment in the country could reach €5.5 billion over the next five years. Annual gross gaming revenue is projected to climb to €7.5–€8.5 billion by 2027, as new integrated resorts and VIP-oriented facilities continue to attract both domestic and international players.

As competition intensifies across the region, AGI’s sustained focus on the VIP segment reflects both the commercial potential of this lucrative market and the shifting dynamics of Asia’s gaming industry.
