Now that the SiGMA, Affiliate Grand Slam and AIBC conferences in Dubai have finally come to a close, we can only thank the great spirit and indomitable hand that made this event a success. Created specifically for eager attendees to relax, many social dinners and drinks, speech panels, and other opportunities were held throughout this event-heavy week. For those of you who couldn’t attend this time, here are some highlights from the event:
Our conference was praised by industry heavyweights, leading entrepreneurs, and key figures in both the gaming and affiliation industries. The agenda of the conference was reinforced by a number of luminaries, including Dr. Marwan Alzarouni, Dave Crane, Nick Spanos, Ben Goertzel, David Orban and Saeed Hared Al Darmaki.
Our speaker’s comments stated:
“We have to make sure that these great ideas are not compromised by people who want to destroy them. You need to be one step ahead when it comes to security. “- Simas Simanauskas, Head of Payments at Connect Pay.
“Content is the heart and soul of marketing. -Baha Hamadi, VP of Communications at Deep Knowledge Group
SiGMA also invited the multi-billion dollar competitive world of esports to the event in Dubai. The event took place not only at the conference, but also at the esports arena, where tournaments organized by esports technology were held.
The main arguments that emerged from the esports conference discussions were as follows:
“Regulation is inevitable in esports. When you try to define the best rules, there is room for creativity, innovation, and profitability, even in highly regulated areas. Work hand-in-hand with the authorities to create a regulatory network that fits both ends. -Clement Martin Saint Leon, Vice President of Regulation and Strategy, Group Barrière
“It’s very difficult to turn a traditional athlete into an e-sports player. It’s a completely different audience. -Paruyr Shahbazyan, CEO of Azuro
During the discussion, participants had the opportunity to learn about the future of esports, the growing industry in the UAE, and the key trends affecting the industry, which is set to reach $20.7 billion by 2027.
The next generation of players who left their mark on the battlefield competed for a total of $10,000 in prize money at the esports arena. Illuminated by lasers and LCD screens, the area featured a number of high-profile guest players, including Geo Solovastru, who coordinated a one-tap game for the Dubai victory.
Surrounded by top-notch investors and mentors, pioneering entrepreneurs were able to compete for up to $500,000 in stock investments and many other benefits by pitching their ideas on stage.
This year’s standout pitch is Fanera. Fanera is the first social network for and by football fans. Their vision is for 3.5 billion football fans to come together in one place, share their moments and connect with fans around the world.
Mohammed Kilany, Chief Executive Officer of Fanera, and SiGMA Asia 1st Pitch told us, the winners: “Don’t fall in love with your idea, fall in love with your execution, the product goes through a lot of changes, but it’s the vision and it’s what people invest in. Our goal is to become a global company with a big mission.”
The SiGMA-AGS Awards Night selected the best and brightest minds in the industry to showcase innovative solutions, outstanding content creators, and affiliates. Celebrities whose dedication, competence, and foresight have propelled them to the top of their field were recognized.
Among the winners who naturally took home the trophy were:
Online Operator of the Year – Betsson Group
Annual Affiliate Network – Arabiclicks
Marketing Agency of the Year – Growth Gurus
SaaS of the Year: NotifyAI
During the event, a charity auction was also held by famous artists, and their works were donated to the SiGMA Foundation.
In a thrilling bid led by auctioneer Rick Goddard, an oil painting on canvas honoring horse racing by artist Derek Mason sold for 4,000 and Gnomevil’s The Lego Shorty NFT sold for 2,500.
This year’s expo was twice as big as last year’s. The floor of the expo venue was filled with booths, an esports arena, three main stages, a media lounge, an investor lounge, and a food court. Brands such as HyperSKU, Cross The Ages, Tiger Pay, and UniGrid are showcasing their products and services for 9,000 delegates this year.
