Vasylyna Shyshova and Nikita Novikovskyi (streamers and producers of the Vasyslot Twitch channel) participated in the latest affiliate interview about the Affiliate Grand Slam.

Vasalyna Shyshova and Nikita Novikovskyi from the Vasyslot Twitch channel talk about their follower-based business model, their relationship with subscribers, and ranking in this competitive ecosystem C which continues below.

Vasylyna and Nikita, how did you first get into the affiliate space? Have you always focused on the gaming field?

Nikita: I started out as a sales manager, then as a blogger manager, and then as an affiliate manager on the brand side. I have been in the gaming world since 2017 and in the gambling world since 2019. I have loved computer games and sports since I was a child. I think gambling is very interesting.

Vasya: Previously I was streaming online games, so Nikita tried to push me into streaming. This time the offer was to try 覦豺企 streaming, which became my passion. To be honest, I didn’t really understand affiliate marketing monetization, but Nikita helped me respond very quickly and I loved it.

Based on your experience, which is the best time to stream a few hours a day (e.g., 2/3 hours) or a very long time (e.g., 8 hours or more)? What do your followers like?

We build relationships with our subscribers so that every format suits them. We share emotions and events before and after the stream. So, even if the flow only lasts for an hour, they are happy to be with us, so we are very grateful. Streams last an average of three hours, which we think is the optimal time at this point. We came to this organically. Because it’s neither long nor short.

We are currently paying attention to Ukrainian and Russian streams. Do you plan to focus on other GEOs?

Now I’m streaming in Russian. The audience of our channel is roughly divided into 50/50 in GEO, UA and RU. We also plan to expand into other 100 GEOS, for which we have launched the Vasilinaplay channel. These are test streams in English; There are plans to develop them.

Which GEO location is best for streamers? Where do you think Twitch is most likely to grow in the future?

We started with native GEO. In the future, we will build on the most popular GEOs, which understand English and are interesting to 覦豺企 operators.

Do you think streaming will disrupt traditional SEO? If yes, how?

No, I don’t think so. These are, in our opinion, completely different sources. Streams may take a portion of your audience away from SEO traffic, but that’s a very small part of the story of destroying SEO sources.

Which streaming hardware and streaming software is most important at the moment?

Streaming requires a powerful computer, preferably three monitors. There are different software solutions; At first, I chose OBS, which is the best solution for now. We know there are other solutions on the market. Perhaps you are going to check out some of them and choose the best one.

This model is truly unique. Until recently, there was a lot of M&A activity, and small affiliates with good ranking sites were being bought by big fish. These days, it seems much easier to capture traffic and get good results on Twitch than to try to build a good SEO site. Based on what you’ve experienced and all of these amazing streamers, how true are the above observations? Do you think affiliate site purchases will slow down?

For brands, these are different sources of traffic. None of them can be refused. Both should be tested. SEO initially requires more cash investment. But again, it depends on which goal and what path you choose. I also do SEO, but I can say that the mechanism is fundamentally different. The approach is completely different, with different types of traffic, different user behaviors, and different growth strategies. Someone was better suited to the development of the site, and someone launched a stream and found their own key that would help them grow. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t see any competition between these two sources. What I can emphasize is that SEO is more at stake. For example, local licenses, regulations that allow you to restrict certain GEOs, pools of partners, etc. In streams, I think the risk in this case is less.

Have you ever been to SiGMA?

I, Nikita, joined SiGMA Malta in 2019. We went to Amsterdam together for the iGathering. For Vasylyna, it’s a new experience. We went to SiGMA Malta 2021 and this was Vasylyna’s first visit to SiGMA.

Talk a little more about your personal life. All business will be done not only between companies, but also between people! Your hobbies, favorite books, favorite quotes, whether you’re interested in games, etc.

Nikita: On top of that, I like sports. I play American football hockey. I also love snowboarding and am addicted to it. I play the guitar and try to play the drums. In addition, I constantly watch streams on Vasyslot’s Twitch channel.

Vasya: In addition to streaming, I also work as a model, personal, and fashion stylist. One of my main hobbies is Latin American dance. Also, if I have time, I play computer games and cross-stitch. Favorite quote: Always go for your goals and never look back.
