Martin, the founder of ParisSportif, is part of the latest series of affiliate interviews on the Affiliate Grand Slam.

According to Martin, founder of ParisSportif, the company is a small affiliate but is growing steadily. Their aim is to expand the network to cover all industries in the French-speaking world, and then to other regions. They have partnered with an honest and trustworthy operator who owns a license – his story continues below.

How did you get into the affiliate space in the first place? Have you always focused on the gaming field?

I started working for a group that owns land-based 바카라s in Western Europe in the early 2010s and then moved to online vertical markets and that got me to know the affiliate marketing side of the gambling industry. After that, I moved to Malta and started working as an affiliate and learned valuable lessons on how to build an affiliate website and SEO.

I started my own site in the finance industry and then moved on to iGaming, which I know well.

How did your affiliate business take off?

It started last year when I invested more time and effort in optimizing the content of my site, trying to position the ParisSportif.org as an information hub for sports betting (with a small percentage of purely commercial content). Writing extensive informational content helped the site grow, behavioral KPIs (such as average session duration and bounce rate) improved, and revenue followed.

Which markets are you focusing on, and do you see potential in emerging markets?

We take a multi-market, monolingual approach, so we focus on all of the French-speaking world. In 2021, we have focused our efforts on growth in emerging markets (mainly Africa), which are markets with a lot of potential and are lesser-known bookmakers in Europe.

What do you wish you had known when you left?

Focus on the user experience on your site instead of simply monetizing, and don’t compare yourself to the market leader when doing competitor analysis. We’re still a small affiliate, but we’ve been growing steadily this year, so it’s important to measure what our peers are doing and learn from them, rather than just focusing on the leading authority websites in our core market.

What is your main focus?

Our main focus is on growing ParisSportif.org and other sites that launched in 2021 but haven’t gained much traction yet. We want to expand our network to all French-speaking industries and to other regions.

What are your plans for the future?

With more regions and vertically expanding, the market is very dynamic right now, many countries are regulating online gambling, and we definitely want to be a part of this adventure!

What added value do you offer?

We’re always adding new content to our site (not just reviews) so that users actually have a good experience and can read multiple pages during their visit.

What is the importance of responsible gaming?

Responsible gaming is important in our industry, and that’s what we keep in mind when reviewing operators and writing content. It is important to portray gambling as it is. It is a pastime that is not safe unless it is done in moderation.

Which niche suits you best and which one is the most profitable?

So far, sports betting has been our main niche and has had the most impact. However, there is a lot of potential lurking in 바카라s (especially in Canada).

How important is social media activity for an affiliate business? How hard is Google’s constant updates?

We haven’t developed social media yet, and we plan to launch an online community in 2022. But they don’t just want to spam users with bonuses and reviews, they want to find the right angle for it. Google’s update has been a conundrum, but we don’t put too much emphasis on updates and try to provide value to our readers. I think this approach will be successful in the long run.

Will it be AI and emerging technologies like Big Bata that will impact the affiliate industry in 2021 and beyond?

AI & Big Data will enable affiliates to make better commercial decisions (e.g. by automatically optimizing tables), but I believe that only affiliates with the resources to do so will be able to invest in the coming year.

What does it take for an affiliate business to be successful?

Dedication. Setting up and running a profitable affiliate business takes time and resources. And in the ever-changing marketing landscape, you need to always be open-minded and try new things.

Do you think your affiliate business is still expanding?

Yes, even major newspapers have started launching affiliate sites in many industries, including sports betting. Moreover, there is definitely room for growth, as most of the markets are expected to grow in the coming years. And while super affiliates tend to capture a big share of the pie, I think there’s still room for a small affiliate business like us to capture a significant portion of the market if we put in enough effort.

How do you choose an operator and how do you manage relationships with multiple operators?

I’m a player myself, so I’ll try the website first to evaluate the overall experience. We don’t recommend websites that provide players with a lousy experience. I’m also looking at obvious points of trust, such as their licenses, how long they’ve been in business, and whether they’re known as bad guys for players or affiliates.

What is your approach in the early stages of a new partnership?

Once your partner has ticked all the boxes, it’s time to test them for a few weeks to evaluate your brand’s performance and understand brand retention. This is a good signal for players that indicates the quality of the user experience.

Have you ever been to SiGMA?

I have been participating in SiGMA in Malta since 2017 and I am looking forward to visiting SiGMA Africa as soon as things settle down. I’ve attended SiGMA Europe 2021 before, and it was a really good experience to meet all the partners in person again.

Talk a little about yourself C after all, business is not just about companies, it’s about people! What are your hobbies, favorite books, favorite quotes, whether you yourself are addicted to games, etc.?

I work a lot, but it’s also very important to relax and relax. I travel as much as I can (although it’s been a bit hard lately) and plan to travel more next year (I would like to visit Japan as soon as I get the chance). I like reading, especially self-help books. You can also try out new brands and cool new features (quests and rewards in the field. ) and play new games.
