How did GLHF Affiliates take off? Can you tell us a bit more about your business model, concept, and culture?
The start of GLHF Affiliates was a bit interesting in itself. One of my closest friends has worked in content, SEO, and carrier partnerships in the past. We found that there is clear room for improvement in terms of transparency and quality in the partner markets. There were also a lot of areas that others didn’t cover much, such as crypto gambling. What we started to create is the site as it is today. It took us a while to learn, but eventually we got used to it. We found a procedure that worked, we provided quality to our players, and the site got off the ground.
With the success of one website, we believed that the same concept could be applied to other areas such as 覦豺企s and sports in multiple languages.
We focus on providing transparency to our players in the form of great content and a high-quality site, and we truly believe that is the key.
What sets us apart from other affiliates? What are the characteristics of your traffic and site?
One of the things that sets us apart from other affiliates in the market is that we take on big challenges. Many keywords and fields are already filled with sites that have been around for a long time, but you don’t want to risk creating something that is likely to fail because it will take months.
Even with a small team, we take on such challenges. It’s not about what’s the easiest way to get leads, it’s about the areas where you can deliver quality.
What is the most important key to success? Do you believe in having enormous resources or great skills?
Success comes from people. Either way, you need the right people with the right skills and passion. We are convinced that GLHF Affiliates would not have grown without the people involved, and I will tell you that as well.
What promotes you more and what motivates you?
My biggest motivation today is self-education and freedom. Whether it’s WordPress development, HTML/CSS, content creation, SEO, etc., we’re always doing different things, and we can learn from doing them through trial and error. My team and I have the freedom to do what we want to do, and that alone allows us to work on projects that we’re passionate about.
What markets are you prioritizing and why? Do you think there is any potential in emerging markets?
We believe that regulated markets may be a priority in the future as they take additional measures to ensure the safety of players. Also, from the player’s point of view, there should be a place to read more information about licensed 覦豺企s. Challenges come with it, such as the fact that the site must be language-specific and that it requires knowledge of the rules attached to the market.
In addition to that, we are seeing a rise in the Asian market. This is a bit of a different challenge for us, and there are a lot of requests from us to get in, but in general, we get quite a lot of traffic from Asia on the English site alone. It may be on the list of future projects.
Why is SEO important for gaming, and how long does it take to see SEO results? What are the SEO factors that you have no control over?
SEO is pretty much everything, and in general, there’s no doubt that more companies are putting effort into improving their companies. Search engines are constantly changing their algorithms and cracking down on black hat strategies, so it’s important to stay on top of current SEO guidelines and changes and do it in a white-hat manner.
We usually see SEO results after 3~5 months, and at that point, we are the first to overlook what can be improved or improved, and what has room for improvement.
Do you create all the marketing materials you need to promote in-house, or do you outsource them?
We do everything in-house, but we do some translations here and there. We’re a team of three, so it’s going to take a little while, but we specialize in different areas and do a good job of managing a lot of different tasks, so we don’t feel the need to outsource, at least not yet.
How important is social media activity for an affiliate business?
Social media activity is excellent in many ways. It’s not particularly good, but we’re starting to use it more. You can create a great traffic flow in an organic way and boost your SEO considerably.
Besides Google, do search engines such as Baidu in China also focus on rankings?
We don’t particularly focus on other search engines, but we found some ways to improve rankings on most search engines and started incorporating it into our strategy. I think we need more data in terms of what we can do before we put more effort into it.
What role does technology play in everyday life?
We use technology every day not only to help our business, but also to our daily lives. Other people’s innovations make our work easier in terms of the different platforms we use. We didn’t have a lot of leeway, but due to the pandemic, it has become a central part of communication between teams.
How is the fragmentation of regulated markets impacting your business?
We as affiliates basically believe that we need to inform our players about the regulations and how it affects them, and we have eliminated operators that do not have a license in certain countries. It affects us quite a lot because we always need to change things, but in the long run, it’s a good thing.
How is the Asian affiliate market formed?
We are constantly getting requests, so we can see that the need for Asian traffic has been growing furiously lately. This market is generally a great market with high player value and large size, but it is a difficult market for affiliates because they have to use different search engines and SEO algorithms, and in many cases, affiliates have never touched it before and it is a new market for them. It will take time for trends and results to appear, but many affiliates are focusing on the Asian market.
How can affiliates take a unique approach?
More affiliates think they should take more risks and try new things. Don’t be afraid to enter the market and learn. This is one of the ways to see what works and what doesn’t.
What can operators do to increase support with affiliates? Is communication and support with the operator meeting your expectations? How do you manage your relationship with them?
The operators do a very good job because supporting affiliates is one of the main ways to get players. Some people are good communicators, but in general there are no complaints so far. If you encounter a problem, you can simply report it to your affiliate manager, and it will usually be resolved immediately.
The only thing that must be pointed out is that there are operators who are not really ready to provide information about the 覦豺企 or to update bonuses and new features to introduce. If the operator adds a new game provider, we will love to know about it, as we can outline it in the article or add it to the review.
I have attended most of the SiGMA events in Malta over the last few years and will probably continue to do so in the future, and may attend events in Asia in the future.
